Richfield Public Schools is currently accepting applications for an Instructional Coach for the 2024-25 school year at Richfield STEM Elementary. The role of the Instructional Coach is to build the capacity of teachers to implement evidence-based instruction, increase student engagement, and improve student achievement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Use a variety of strategies to establish rapport and trust with coachees; adhere to standards of confidentiality
Provide support and assistance to teachers in the full implementation of the district's adopted curricula/programs
Assist teachers in appropriately pacing instruction
Assist individual teachers and teacher teams in analyzing varied assessment data to inform classroom or grade-level decision making
Advocate for equity by collaborating with all stakeholders to identify the instructional practices that will help teachers meet the needs of all learners, especially underserved students
Serve as a resource in identifying appropriate tiered interventions within a Multi-Tiered System of Support framework
Facilitate professional development sessions and learning academies
Provide comprehensive individual and team coaching in evidence-based practices through action planning, co-planning, observing, modeling, and co-teaching that is differentiated to meet professional learning needs
Serve as a leader on instructional leadership teams and school/district committees, including the District Staff Development Committee
Prepare forms, records, and reports as directed
Attend meetings and trainings as directed
Reflect on coaching practices and engage in continuous improvement to meet the diverse needs of teachers
Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education
Current Minnesota K-6 Elementary Education Licensure
Previous experience in an elementary school setting
Previous experience as an instructional coach or leader of adult learning preferred
